Oh, definitely spending hours untangling cassette tapes with a pencil! There was something oddly satisfying about winding the tape back into the cassette after it got caught in the player. Today's generation, with their instant streaming and digital downloads, will never know the struggle—or the triumph—of fixing a favorite mixtape by hand. Plus, the anticipation of waiting for your favorite song to play on the radio so you could hit "record" was a whole experience in itself!
Also I remember stretching landline phone cord as far as it would go to get some privacy during a call. You had to memorize phone numbers and hope no one picked up another extension to eavesdrop. The concept of having a phone in your pocket at all times would have seemed like pure science fiction back then!
